Kenne
Bell 1500 Supercharger for 94-95 Mustang GT 5.0Ls
$1800.00
On a totally stock car, I ran 12.97 @ 109.5 from a best of 14.7 @ 93-94 with about 10-11 psi, a KB 80mm MAF, KB switch chip, 255 lph fuel pump and 30#/hr injectors. Everything else was stock except the springs and shocks. Normal in that trim was around 13.1. I went a little quicker with Edelbrock heads and a Keith craft 306 and eventually went 11.89 @ 115 on slicks and skinnies with 3.73 gears and some weight reduction. Turns out my clutch was slipping with that combo too so it could have gone a bit quicker. My own tuning left a little to be desired as well.
This is a "complete" kit as far as
what Kenne Bell included in their kit when I bought it. It contains the
supercharger and the manifolds (obviously), the elbow between the inlet manifold
and the throttle body, the snout mounting bracket, a brand new FMU - I never
used it and I'm not sure if it is for 19# injectors or 30# - and of course all
the nuts and bolts to mount it. It also includes the manual although I
have the manual available on my site here.
I am including one blower pulley with the kit - I have others - ask if
interested. 2-3/4", 2-3/8", and 2-1/8" available (5-6 psi,
9-11 psi and 11-13 psi, respectively on a stock or mild engine). If you
pay the full asking price, I'll also toss in the KB blower pulley changing
tool ($25 value) and a T handle allen wrench that is just about a necessity to
install the blower.
About the only thing missing to install it all would be the gasket between the
blower discharge and the stock lower intake. But, it just takes a regular
factory gasket available for a few dollars at any parts store or Ford. I also
don't have all the little T's and vacuum hoses that came with it. I don't have
emissions connected anymore, so I basically custom ran all the vacuum hoses. I
can probably tell you what you need and can give you all the diagrams. Install
manual is on my website but I have that as well.
The only other disclaimer is that I have modified the snout bracket. Front
- Modified
corner - Rear
I did that to allow for different mounting holes and get more belt wrap around
the pulley. Basically the whole thing is rotated more clockwise as you look at
it from the front. still works great (better actually). Each car seems to be
slightly different so you may desire to experiment with the different holes and
belt wrap. I also have ported the inlet elbow that the TB attaches too. I have a
75mm TB and the inlet elbow was only around 70mm or so, so I opened it up to
match my TB.
Beyond that, it is fine, other than it IS 5 years old and has very minor
scratches in the manifolds to show that. It's in really good shape, but it has
some small scratches - no more than any normal wear though - and it still
polishes up nice. I'm fairly certain that is everything. I've done a lot of
custom things over the years, so I may be forgetting something, but I can assure
you, everything as well if not better than when KB built it. The blower
itself has never given me any problems at all.
I also have the original KB box and materials to be able to pack it up very
secure.

Check the "engine" and "kbblower" directories
especially.
To answer commonly asked questions:
Age: I've had it right at 5 years (August 1998) but it only has about 25-30K miles on it. I don't drive the car a lot and it has been down for modifications or other reasons a lot in the past few years
What else will I need: I'd recommend a high flow fuel pump (255 lph) and larger injectors (30s for a stock engine, probably 42s for a mild to wild build up or to have room to grow on a stock engine). You may also want a chip or other tuning device and I'd recommend boost and fuel pressure gauges for safety.
BBK 75mm Throttle body
of for 94-95 Mustang 5.0Ls
$130
The TB is nearly new - I only put in on this past winter and probably have less
than 1-2K miles on it if that. the only problem with it is I lost the set
screw for the throttle stop so I used a regular screw in it's place (which I
like a lot better actually.) They sell for over $200 plus shipping new.

Ford Motorsport 42
lb/hr fuel injectors
$200
These injectors retail for over $300 new and these are well maintained, very low
mileage, great condition injectors. They have lime green tops.
Ford 90mm
"Lightning" MAF and EEC-IV wiring adapter
$125
This 90mm Mass Air Sensor is for the 2001+ Supercharged Lightnings and was
purchased new from Ford - not a take off used unit prior to my using it.
It's also very low miles. It fits the stock MAF to TB tube perfectly and
with the included wire harness can be adapted for use on 94-95 and other
mustangs. The Ford meters have superb electronics and allow for excellent
street cruise and idle manners - even with bigger injectors. Ford
meters are NOT "calibrated" to any particular injector - that
calibration is done in the EEC. So to use it, you must have a chip or
other tuning device or use it on a vehicle that came with this meter. Worked
great on my '95. Lots of airflow capability. I believe this is the
same meter also used on the '03 and '04 Mustang Cobras.

Ford/Lincoln 80mm
MAF
$80
This 80mm Mass Air Sensor was purchased new from Kenne Bell when I bought the
blower. It fits the stock MAF to TB tube perfectly and can be used on 94-95 and
other mustangs. The Ford meters have superb electronics and allow for
excellent street cruise and idle manners - even with bigger injectors.
Ford meters are NOT "calibrated" to any particular injector - that
calibration is done in the EEC. So to use it, you must have a chip or
other tuning device or use it on a vehicle that came stock with this meter.
Worked great on my '95. When I went much beyond a mild engine with the
blower I was at the point of pegging this meter (too much airflow). The
next good step up is the Lightning MAF as above. I ran this meter with
30#/hr injectors and chips from Kenne Bell or JMS.
S&W 10 point roll cage for 94-95
Mustangs (possible 96-98 as well) BRAND NEW!
$180
this cage (full 10 point cage - not just a 6 or 8 point bar) is brand new -
never used. I bought a race car prior to installing this in my 95 and now
have no use for it. I also purchased additional steel plates and
steel gussets that can be had for a moderate additional charge. This is BRAND
NEW! That's about 15% off retail and no tax!

EEC-Tuner v5.1
$175
EEC Tuner to tune your own car - never need another chip. As seen at www.eec-tuner.com but for a considerably lower price!
Autometer
2-5/8" Phantom mechanical fuel
pressure gauge
$35 for gauge / $80 for all
Autometer 5812 (ATM-5812 at Summit) mechanical FP gauge (used) that was mounted
on my cowl. New they are $44 + s/h. I'm asking $35+ s/h. The needle is a bit
faded to orange from being in the sun, but they all do that after a little bit.
I can throw in the black mounting cup for another $9 and the stainless braided
-4AN 6 foot fuel line and all the fittings for $40. (fittings are about $10-15
for the schraeder adapter and the angle fittings for the cup.)
New - all that is about $120 plus s/h, If you buy all of it, I can do $80 plus
shipping.
